Reading Electron Configuration & Identifying Elements Mystery Worksheet Activity

This fun and engaging chemistry mystery has students reading electron configurations in orbital notation and identifying elements. They uncover clues, working as a whole class to uncover the culprit of the mystery!

Students can be assigned student suspects. Answering the questions uncovers clues which help students to narrow down the list of suspects to a single culprit!

WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE 36 STUDENTS?

No worries! You can assign all the suspects out, allowing some of your students to represent more than one suspect.

You could also assign only one suspect per student, just make sure the that the culprit is assigned to a student in your classroom.
