About

Hi, I'm Kelsey! 👋

I'm a high school chemistry teacher turned curriculum author living in North Carolina and I created my Kelsey Chemistry resources because I know firsthand how hard it can be to find quality, ready-to-use chemistry resources that actually engage students.

My Teaching Background

I fell in love with chemistry during high school. Well really, my teacher made me fall in love with chemistry. She persuaded me to take AP Chemistry and the rest is history!

Since then, chemistry has been my passion but making it accessible and exciting for every student? That's what drives me. After years in the classroom teaching students who didn't necessarily choose to enroll in chemistry, I started creating my own materials because I couldn't find resources that struck the right balance between rigorous content and student engagement.

What started as a personal solution quickly became something I knew other chemistry teachers needed too. I've seen far too many sunsets, and moonrises from the faculty parking lot. If I can get you home on time, I'm gonna do it!

My Approach to Chemistry Resources

Every resource in my shop is designed with real classrooms in mind. I focus on:

  • Guided notes that help students stay organized and focused without doing all the thinking for them
  • Mystery Activities that spark curiosity and make abstract concepts click
  • Hands-on labs that bring chemistry to life beyond the textbook
  • Link & Solve encourage accuracy in math solutions
  • Quick Practice Worksheets simple, to the point practice, without the fluff
  • Vocabulary learning and deeply understanding the language of chemistry
  • Reading Comprehension applying chemistry to the real world
  • Chem Quest get students moving to break monotony without pure chaos

My goal is to save you time on planning so you can leave work on time (and have some fun!)

What You'll Find in My Shop

With 100+ resources (with more on the way) covering a full year of high school chemistry, you'll find everything from atomic structure and bonding to stoichiometry, gas laws, and beyond. Whether you're looking for a single activity or a complete unit, I've got you covered.

All resources are licensed for single classroom use, so you can use them with confidence knowing they were made with care by a chemistry teacher, specifically with your chemistry students in mind.
