Chemistry Halloween, Science of Glow Sticks, Fall Activities Electron Excitation

In this activity pack, students can have some Halloween fun in chemistry class! Start out with the academic reading comprehension on chemiluminescence and what makes glow sticks glow. Then measure their emission spectra and calculate the energy they give off. Color in paper glow sticks and electrons to show the differences between ground state and excited state electrons. Finish with a Halloween movie sheet reviewing some chemistry concepts.
