Materials needed:

• red cabbage
• beaker
• pipette
• spot plate
• solutions of pH 1, 3, 5, 7, 10, 14
• goggles
• aprons

If students prepare the cabbage solution

• hot plate or Bunsen burner and set up to boil water
• beaker tongs or Hot Hands
