Sig figs is usually such a drag, but this is an engaging way to practice math with significant figures with your high school science students.
The answer to number one becomes part of the question for number 2 and so on, until students reach number 10. This means it's important to be careful and mindful of their rounding and significant figures rules when using this activity.
There are ten different worksheets, each with ten questions, so you can provide your students with loads of significant figures practice.

WHO IS IT FOR?
This lesson is perfect for a first year high school chemistry class, physics class or physical science class.
HOW TO USE IT
After teaching how to do math with significant figures, my students are put into small groups. Student 1 is asked to answer question 1 and pass the paper to student 2. The answer to Q1 is part of the question for Q2, so the second student may want to check the work of the student before them. This continues until all of the questions have been answered.
The first group to get all 10 answers right is the winner! I usually award some bonus points or candy.
